Description

The former screw mill, now known as the Drawing Office of S Briggs and Company, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of buff brick and consists of two similar blocks connected by a single-storey wing. The building features multi-paned cast iron windows with plain lintels. On the south side, there are three windows, with the upper and lower ones converted into doorways; access to the upper doorway is provided by a flight of modern iron steps. The roof is hipped and tiled, and the eaves are adorned with modillion detailing.
