Description

The Anchor Inn Public House is a late 18th-century building located on New Street. It is constructed of painted brick and stands three storeys tall. The facade features two sash windows with channelled lintels, and there is a two-storeyed, one-window bay on the left-hand side. The roof is covered with slates and tiles. A notable feature is the well-preserved late 19th-century inn front, which includes arched lights and a dentilled cornice.
