Description

The carriage shed, located to the south of the Cedars frontage in Tatenhill, dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed from red brick and features a low-pitched hipped slate roof. The building has a deep plan with a short frontage. Above the carriage shed is a hay loft, and there is a single segmental-headed opening that is centrally positioned over double boarded carriage doors; the head of this opening has been rebuilt. This carriage shed, along with the stables, frames the frontage of the Cedars.
