Description
Sedge Cottage and The Smithy are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century, with a later addition from the 19th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a plain tile roof, with brick ridge stacks and an integral end stack. The cottages are two storeys high and have dentilled eaves. The building has five bays, with the right-hand bay being the later addition. The windows are casements, with ground-floor windows having segmental heads and first-floor windows topped with gablets. The windows of Sedge Cottage, the right-hand cottage, are fitted with louvred shutters. There are doors on both the left and right sides, each with timber lean-to porches.
