Description

This building comprises numbers 71, 71A, 73, and 75 High Green, dating from the early 19th century with later additions. Numbers 71 and 71A have a stucco finish, while the remaining sections are painted brick. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and features eight windows, generally sash windows with single glazing bars. Number 71A has a moulded wooden doorcase with side lights and a cornice hood. Number 73 features a 19th-century projecting shop front that returns on the east side, incorporating truncated gables, two Venetian windows (without glazing bars), and two semi-circular attic windows. The building has moulded plaster eaves and is roofed with tiles. The building is included on the list for its group value, forming a notable group with numbers 71 to 79 (odd) and the National Westminster bank.
