Description
77 High Green is a mid-19th century building constructed of red brick, featuring two storeys and four sash windows without glazing bars. The windows are adorned with moulded stone consoles, and the lower windows have cornice hoods. The modern doorway at No 77 has a semi-circular head and a contemporary shop front. The former National Westminster Bank section includes a painted stone Ionic pilaster doorcase with an inset Roman-arch head, keyblock, and a six-panel door. The building has moulded stone eaves with consoles and a tiled roof. It is included for its group value with Nos 71 to 79 (odd), which form a cohesive architectural group.
