Description

Bolas Bridge, dated 1795, is a well-constructed sandstone ashlar road bridge spanning the River Meese. It features a single round arch with a prominent keystone. On either side of the bridge, there are pairs of pilasters at the abutments, along with a string course. The parapet has coping, and the abutments curve outward at the ends of the bridge. An inscription on the inside of the north-east parapet reads, "Built by Richard Madeley 1795."
