Description

Meeson Hall is a large house built in 1640, constructed of red sandstone ashlar and remodelled around the mid-19th century, with further additions dating from the early 20th century. The house is two storeys and has an attic. The front façade features three gables, with a recessed centre containing a projecting porch and a degressed two-centred arch. The windows are mullioned and transomed, set within larger openings made during the 19th century. Large external chimney stacks are present, featuring set-offs and 19th-century brick shafts. The roof is tiled. Attached to the rear (north-west) is a circa 17th-century timber-framed outbuilding. Internally, a panelled room on the east side of the house contains a roughly mid-17th-century wooden chimney piece.
