Description

The building is a bank premises, likely purpose-built around 1870. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof, designed in the Tudor gothic style. The structure is two stories high, with two outer gabled wings on the south elevation and a central gable on the east elevation that consists of three main bays.

On the eastern elevation, there is a doorway to the left set in a slightly advanced porch, supported by polished granite shafts that lead to a segmental arch topped with a fretted balustrade. Beyond this entrance, there is a band of five windows adorned with heavy stone dressings, including shallow balustraded panels below. The upper story slightly projects and features stone mullioned and transomed windows, including a central oriel bay with a balustrade as a parapet beneath the central gable.

The southern elevation showcases a full-height canted bay with mullioned and transomed lights in the western gable. There is a flat-roofed porch at the angle of the central bay, which has a doorway that is now disused and accessed by steps. Additionally, there is a band of four narrow windows in the eastern bay, along with a canted oriel bay window above. The gables are coped and topped with finials, and there is a stack on the rear elevation.
