Description

The remains of Hill Top Methodist Church, originally built as Burslem Sunday School in 1836 by Samuel Parch, are represented by the portico. This structure is made of stone and is raised on a projecting basement, featuring balustrading and steps leading from the street level. The portico is supported by eight Doric columns that hold up an entablature, which includes a central blocking course inscribed with "Burslem Sunday School." Behind the portico, the former paired doorways are now blocked and have pedimented cases.
