Description
Wade Heath Pottery Works is a pottery works built in 1814 for John and Richard Riley, with later alterations. The building is constructed of brick and features plain tiled roofs. It consists of two right-angled ranges that create an angled corner, which originally formed the entrance bay. Although the doorways are now blocked, the Palladian windows above remain intact, along with a date stone set in the pedimented gable. The main ranges may have been rebuilt or had their windows changed in the later 19th century. The design, which includes a pedimented canted corner, takes advantage of the unique corner site.
