Description

No. 38 Market Place is a shop premises built in the late 18th century. It features painted brick construction and a plain tiled roof. The building is three stories high and consists of a single bay. The ground floor has a shop front with a central doorway, flanked by windows with small panes. This is adorned with fluted Doric pilasters and moulded consoles supporting the fascia. The first floor has sash windows with flat-arched stuccoed heads, while the attic is fitted with casement windows. A moulded wood modillion eaves cornice completes the design.
