Description
The former warehouses at Longport Wharf, dating from around 1840, are now used as boatyard premises. They are constructed of brick and feature plain tiled roofs. Each warehouse is two stories high and consists of seven bays, which are separated by full-height pilasters. The two outer bays have cast-iron windows on the ground floor, while the inner bay contains a semi-circular arched recess at the first-floor level, although one of these has been infilled. The central bay has a blank lower storey and an oculus at the first floor. The flanking bays are designed with wide entrance arches and oculi above. The buildings also have overhanging eaves.
