Description

Nos. 266 and 270 on Endon Road are a pair of cottages that were originally built around 1798 as the Parish workhouse and converted into cottages in 1839. The buildings have been extensively altered around 1970. They are constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a plain tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high, with an original doorway that is now partly blocked, located off-centre and flanked by casement windows with painted ashlar surrounds on each floor. There are also inserted doorways to the left and right, along with inserted or renewed casement windows on the left side of each floor. An axial brick stack is present on the building.
