Description
This is a 17th-century barn located at Lower Knuck. It features a weatherboarded timber frame set on a plinth made of coursed limestone rubble, topped with a thatched roof that has corrugated iron cladding and is hipped to the west. The barn consists of four and a half framed bays arranged in an east-west direction. The framing includes square panels, with two panels situated between the sole plate and the wall plate. There is a central door on the north side and three doors on the south side. The structure is supported by collar and tie-beam trusses that include queen struts.
