Gates and gate piers. 4 early C18 gate piers and 3 late C19 gates. Square grey sandstone ashlar piers with plinths, chamfered rustication, and moulded caps (replaced in probably mid-C19). 3 painted wooden gates, central carriage gate with smaller pedestrian gates;large semi-circular bracing and dog rails, centre gate with lower diagonal bracing. This was formerly the main carriage entrance to Longnor Hall (q.v.) from Shrewsbury. The gate piers are similar to another pair to the north-east of Longnor Hall (q.v.) and a pair to the east of the Church of St. Mary (q.v.).
