Description

This description is for a pair of gate piers and a gate located approximately 166 metres to the north-east of Longnor Hall. The gate piers date from the early 18th century, while the gate itself is from the late 19th century. The piers are made of square grey sandstone ashlar and feature a plinth, chamfered rustication, and moulded caps, which were likely replaced in the mid-19th century. The gate is a 6-bar painted wooden structure. These gate piers are similar to another set located to the north-west of Longnor Hall and a pair situated to the east of the Church of St. Mary.
