Description
The cottage and dovecote, located approximately 80 metres north of White House Farmhouse, is a disused structure that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a graded stone slate roof, with an integral end stack on the right that has a 19th-century brick top. The building is two storeys high and has a central gabled break showcasing an exposed inclined queen-strut truss. There are two boarded doors on the first floor and two boarded doors on the ground floor, with an additional boarded door to the right. The left gable end includes a boarded loft door and dove nesting boxes with ledges beneath. At the rear, there is a central first-floor two-light leaded casement window, a ground-floor two-light casement window to the right, and a boarded door to the left. Inside, there is a central timber-framed partition wall with square panels.
