Description
Hollydene is a barn that has been converted into two houses. It dates back to the 17th century, with additions and alterations made in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed, featuring painted brick nogging, some painted rubble on the right side, a painted brick addition on the left, and a rendered rear. The roof is made of graded stone slate, with 20th-century tiles covering the left-hand addition. The building has four framed bays and is one storey high.
The framing consists of square panels, with four panels extending up to the wall-plate and tension braces. There are rendered stacks at the central ridge and at both ends. The windows are 20th-century casements, with five on the first floor and eight on the ground floor. A half-glazed door is located between the third and fourth windows from the left. The entrance to Hollydene is situated at the rear.
