BOMERE HEATH C.P. - Forecourt walls, gates, gate piers and pavilions to the north of Yeaton Peverey (formerly listed as Forecourt walls, gates and domed pavilions at Yeaton Peavery House)

Forecourt walls, gates, gate piers and pavilions. 1890-2, by Aston Webb. Snecked red sandstone ashlar. U-plan, approximately 100 metres long. In a free Jacobean style. Plain wall with chamfered coping. North side with central gateway: pair of square piers, each with nook shafts to cor- ners, paired arched panels to top with turned balusters at corners, moulded cornice and statue above. Pair of large ornamental wrought-iron gates between with dog bars, ornamental lock and top bars, decorative panels with scrollwork, and elaborate scrolled cresting with repoussé work. Lower flanking pedestrian gateways, with moulded elliptical arches, hood- moulds and small wrought-iron gates. Small one-storey diagonally-placed square pavilions at corners, each with chamfered plinth, cornice, parapet and domed lead roof with finial; 2-light chamfered mullioned stoned windows to front. The forecourt walls form part of the original landscape scheme to Yeaton Peverey (q.v.).
