Description

The Jones memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 6 meters east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary and St Andrew in Condover. It dates from around 1812 and is made of sandstone. The tomb is rectangular in shape and features a moulded plinth and capping, along with a slightly chamfered top ledger. It has fluted corner pilasters and a moulded inscription panel on the south side, which includes fluted spandrels at the corners, commemorating Thomas Jones, who died in 1812.
