Description

Trefonen Hall is a farmhouse, likely dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century and the early 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with large corner blocks, topped by a slate roof. The building has massive external end stacks with red brick shafts, the upper portions of which were rebuilt in the early 20th century using red brick. The main front has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window arrangement. The windows are mid-19th century three-light casements, but retain the original window layout. A central half-glazed door is sheltered by a late 19th century gabled porch with trellised details. A parallel range, set back to the right rear, was extended and partly rebuilt in the early 20th century.
