Description
This folly, located approximately 30 metres to the south-west of Wroxeter Grange, is likely from the 19th century and incorporates Roman and possibly medieval masonry. It is constructed from coursed red sandstone rubble and features dressed red and grey sandstone. The structure has an open centre with two bays, showcasing re-used Roman columns and capitals, straight-sided arches, and a gable above that includes an arched niche in the tympanum. The flanking piers present a blind two-bay arcade with central re-used Roman columns, straight-sided arches, and gables above, with the right gable topped by an urn finial. To the south-west, there is a low apsidal rubble wall.
