Description

This is a wall and gate built around 1860, located next to the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Shrewsbury. The structure is made of coursed and squared sandstone and features buttresses and raking copings. There is a small lych-gate with a leaded bell-cast roof, which is supported by timber struts and has a cross finial on the ridge. The wall and gate are included for their group value with the cathedral.
