Description

56 St Mary's Street is an early 17th century timber-framed building that is partly plastered. It stands two storeys tall, with the upper storey overhanging and supported by a moulded wood cornice. The façade features two casement windows and a plank door with strap hinges, all set within a moulded wood frame. The building has two gables with plain barge-boards. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 50 to 64 (consecutive), Nos 65 and 68, No 68A, and Nos 69 to 73 (consecutive).
