Description
No. 22 St Mary's Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of painted brick. It features three sash windows with cambered heads and a moulded wooden doorcase topped with a cornice hood supported by consoles. The building has brick bands and dentilled eaves, and it is covered with old tiles. This property is known as The Hen and Chickens Inn. It is part of a group that includes the New Inn and Nos. 5 to 14 and Nos. 18 to 30 St Mary's Street.
