Description

This is a range of 18th-century buildings located on the north side of St Mary’s Street in Bridgnorth. Numbers 23 to 28 form a terrace, and together with numbers 5 to 14 and 18 to 30, they are included in the listing for their group value. The buildings are constructed of painted brick and red brick, with three storeys and attics over two storeys. They have a nine-window front, with generally later wood casement windows. There are seven simple doorways, along with dentilled brick eaves and two dormers. The roof is tiled. The buildings were formerly known as The Hen and Chickens Inn and The New Inn.
