Description

These two buildings, numbered 20 and 21 Railway Street, were constructed in 1840. They are built of painted brick with a tiled roof and extend over two storeys. The building has five sash windows, most of which are later replacements or restored, and these are topped with stone cornice hoods supported on consoles. There are two simple doorcases. Number 20 has a curved frontage that returns onto Hollybush Road and connects with Ebenezer Row. It features a double-fronted shop window with glazing bars and a recessed stone tablet inscribed "Ebenezer Place", displaying the construction date of 1840. Numbers 20 to 39 Railway Street form a group with Ebenezer Row and numbers 1 to 9 Hollybush Road.
