Description
Carmel House is a house built around 1850. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and a three-window range, with the outer bays being slightly advanced. The entrance is highlighted by a stressed architrave with a heavy entablature, and there is a 12-pane sash window above the entrance. Above this, in the pedimented gable, is a 6-pane sash window. On either side of the entrance are square bay windows, each containing paired 4-pane sash windows, with 12-pane sashes located above them. The return elevation is divided into two bays by pilasters, with each bay featuring a 12-pane sash window that has a flat-arched gauged brick head.
