Description
Station Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with a mid-19th century extension. It is constructed from coursed squared stone rubble on a stone plinth with a chamfered cap, and features a brick structure. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and have ashlar coped gable parapets, with roof-lights in the rear pitch. The building has integral brick gable-end stacks that have later 19th-century restored caps. The layout consists of a 3-bay plan with a 2-bay end extension to the right.
The exterior is two storeys high with an attic. The south-east front has a two-storey, three-window range featuring simple renewed 2-light casements with keyed ashlar lintels and raised keyblocks. The central entrance consists of a 6-panelled front door set in a cambered arched opening, which is sheltered by a projecting ashlar porch with a pointed arched opening. The brick extension to the right is a lower two-storey, two-window range that includes 3-light casements, with a single 3-light casement on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
