Description

This is a row of three shops and offices, originally five dwellings, built in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. It has three storeys and an 8-window front. Shop fronts have been inserted into the ground floor, while the windows above are mostly sash windows, although many have been replaced with 2-pane sashes, though some original 12-pane sashes remain. All the windows have flat-arched brick surrounds. A plain parapet sits above the eaves, with end wall stacks. Number 9 has an additional bay on its right side, originally built as a lodge to St Mary's Court. This bay has a hipped Welsh slate roof and dentilled eaves. A full-height arched recess now contains a shop front. The side elevation features a blind window and a square bay window, both with 4-pane casements above.
