Description
SYCAMORE HOUSE is a house dating from around 1800, constructed of brick with a concrete tiled roof. It has an L-plan shape and stands three storeys tall with a total of two window ranges. The concave outer angle features a doorway that has a traceried overlight, set within a case that includes curved console brackets supporting a canopy. Above the door, there is a blind window that displays a painted traceried pattern, which reflects the design of the window to its right. To the left, the south-facing gable is canted and adorned with deep moulded string courses at each storey. There are two side wall stacks in this section of the house. At the rear, there is a lower range of two storeys that is a later addition and has been extensively modernised.
