Description
The Old Thatched Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a rubble construction and a thatched roof, with a rendered rubble exterior stack on the right side. The building is single-storey with an attic and has irregular window arrangements. There are two dormers on the left with 19th-century lattice glazed casements, while the right dormer has leaded lights and a central casement. The entrance is located to the left and consists of a 20th-century part-glazed door set in an earlier frame. To the left of the entrance is a 20th-century casement window, and to the right are two 19th-century casements with two and three lights, also featuring lattice metal glazing. There is a 19th-century single-storey extension on the right, which has weatherboarding, a brick structure, and a plain tile roof, along with a 20th-century plank door and a 19th-century two-light lattice-glazed metal casement. On the left side, there is a lean-to with weatherboarding and a thatched roof, while the rear has a 20th-century lean-to made of weatherboarding with a corrugated-iron roof. The interior has not been inspected.
