Description
This is a row of three cottages located at 5, 6, and 7 Holyhead Road in Shrewsbury, likely dating from the late 17th century, with some later alterations. The cottages are timber-framed with brick infill and are covered in roughcast render. They have plain tiled roofs and are single-storeyed with attic dormers. Each cottage has a single-unit plan and a single-window range. The doorways are located beneath gabled weather hoods, although the weather hood is missing from No. 7. The cottages feature 3-light casement windows with transoms, which have been renewed in No. 7. The gabled dormers interrupt the eaves line and have casement windows with 2 and 3 lights, along with fretted barge-boards. The gables are topped with stepped coping, and there are end wall and axial stacks.
