Description

The Meyrick Memorial is a headstone located approximately 19 metres to the west of the porch of the Church of St George in Clun. It dates from around 1840 and is made of sandstone, designed in the late Gothic style. The memorial features two shallow traceried panels and commemorates Richard Meyrick, who died in 1840. It is noted as an unusually fine example of pattern-book Gothic tracery used on a headstone.
