Description

This is a pedestal tomb located approximately 20 meters south of the domestic chapel at Aston Hall, dating from 1785. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a square section with a moulded plinth and capping, as well as a cavetto-moulded finial. The inscription on the north side commemorates the erection of the monument in 1785 for the sisters Elizabeth Lloyd, who died in 1775, and Ann Sneyd, who died in 1784. There are additional later inscriptions honoring members of the Lloyd family on the other three sides.
