Description
The entrance gates and screen at Henley Hall date from the 18th century and are made of wrought iron. They consist of a pair of main gates and gate standards, which are flanked by screen panels that include pedestrian gates with central gate standards and are finished with end standards. The standards feature braced frames adorned with ornate wrought-ironwork and elaborate caps. The railing screens have top, mid, and bottom rails with alternating full and half-height arrow-head railings. The gates also have top, mid, and bottom rails with similar alternating full and half-height railings, featuring arrow-head caps on the half-height railings and additional ornate wrought-ironwork above. These gates were brought to Henley Hall from Wirksworth in Derbyshire.
