Description
No. 7 Raven Lane is an 18th-century house made of brick, featuring a plain tile roof with a steep pitch at the rear and a brick stack on the right front. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a two-window range, displaying 6/6 sash windows with broad glazing bars set in broad cases, all under gauged brick flat arches with stucco keyblocks. The eaves are adorned with brick dentils, and there is a 20th-century restored gable dormer that includes a four-light casement window. The entrance is located to the left and features an 18th-century six-fielded-panel door with an overlight that has a glazing bar, topped by a simple hood supported by wrought-iron scrollwork. To the right of the entrance, there are two 6/6 sash windows, one of which is from the 20th century, both framed by plain architraves. At the rear, there is a wing with a 20th-century composite tile roof; the ground floor is made of rubble while the upper floor is brick. Inside, there is an 18th-century dogleg staircase with bobbin balusters and exposed ceiling beams.
