Description

The Bright Memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 9 metres to the west of the north porch of the Church of St George. It dates from around 1848 and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a cavetto-moulded plinth, sunken panels, and corner piers adorned with shallow Gothic panels and carved foliage decoration. The top of the tomb is finished with cavetto moulding. It commemorates Charles Bright, who died in 1848.
