Description

Kingsland Bank is a house dating to 1759, with alterations made in 1860 and later. It was designed by Thomas Farnolls Pritchard and built for the Shrewsbury Drapers Company. The house is constructed with stucco over brickwork, and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high, with a three-window facade. A central, slightly projecting bay is topped with a pediment. The central entrance is marked by a porch with pilasters supporting a cornice and balustrade. The windows are 12-pane sash windows, with a moulded eaves cornice and end wall stacks. Recessed single-storeyed wings flank the main house on either side, each with a pedimented gable and irregular window placement.
