Description
The village pump, trough, and enclosing walls are located approximately 80 metres northeast of Berrington Farmhouse. This structure dates from the mid to late 19th century. It features a cast iron pump with a circular shaft, moulded wings, a splayed spout, a fluted top, and a handle that has an acorn balance weight. At the time of the survey in March 1985, the cap was missing. The trough is made of grey sandstone, and the enclosing walls on three sides are constructed from red brick with rounded coping. This site is noted as an important part of the village group.
