Description
Bedstone Court Lodge is an entrance lodge built around 1881 by Thomas Harris for Sir Henry Ripley, with an extension added in the mid-20th century. The structure features a planted timber frame with rendered infill and a machine tile roof, and it stands two storeys tall. The left gable end jetties out at the first floor and attic, showcasing a five-light leaded wooden mullion window on the first floor. Below, there is a casement window with a pedimented head, flanked by contemporary three-light leaded casements set diagonally on each side. The front has a full-height projecting gable with a three-light leaded casement on the first floor, which is tile hung. A similar three-light casement is located on the ground floor to the right. To the left of the gable is a tall cruciform red brick ridge stack with moulded capping, which has been heightened in 20th-century red brick. The 20th-century extension to the right is not of special architectural interest.
