Description
The Old Coach House is a cart shed with a granary above, likely built in the 18th century and remodeled in the mid-19th century. The structure is partially timber-framed with red brick infilling and is supported by sandstone block cross walls, topped with a plain tiled roof. The granary is located on the first floor, while the ground floor features an open shelter that is divided into two sections by a sandstone wall. Access to the first floor is provided by tallet stairs at the east end, and there are wooden hatches below the eaves on both the north and south sides. There are also 19th-century red brick extensions to the west and south. The division of the ground floor in the 18th-century section likely occurred in the mid-19th century.
