Description

A row of three houses, dating from the late 18th century, located in Shrewsbury. The main block is three storeys high and features a five-window front, with alternating advanced and recessed bays. The outer bays contain six-panelled doors, each topped with a fanlight set within a reeded architrave and supported by consoles to a decorative entablature. Tripartite sash windows are set within stressed architraves, recessed to full height on either side of the central bay, which incorporates blind windows on each floor. A string course runs above the first storey, across the central three bays. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes with flat-arched gauged brick heads. The building is finished with a moulded cornice and parapet. Gable and axial stacks are present. A two-storey, two-window range addition is located to the right, featuring six-pane sashes and a doorway. An inserted dormer window is visible in the roof. An extension to No. 15 was added and listed separately in 1972.
