Description
The Court House is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys tall with gabled attic dormers and has a five-window range. The main elevation faces southeast and includes a doorway positioned to the right of the centre, which has an interlace overlight above it. To the right of the door is a single sash window, while there are two sash windows towards the left. There is a possible blocked window immediately to the left of the doorway. A late 20th-century conservatory has been added across the centre of the elevation. The lower windows are all 4-pane sashes, and the narrow window above the door, along with the other upper windows, are sashes with 4 and 12 panes. All windows feature flat-arched stuccoed heads, and there is a string course above the ground-floor windows. The roof overhangs, and there are two stacks located at the rear of the building.
Inside, the house is said to contain a 17th-century staircase with turned balusters and an early 18th-century panelled room.
