Description

The balustrade and steps, located approximately 10 meters south of the south front of Bedstone Court, were constructed around 1881 by Thomas Harris for Sir Henry Ripley. The structure features terracotta on a chamfered red brick base, with stone steps. It is approximately 40 meters long and includes a short flight of steps at the eastern end. The balusters are vase-shaped, supported by rusticated piers topped with ball finials and scalloped urns that have lionheads at the corners. This structure is included for its group value.
