Description
A pair of houses, dating from around 1830, located on Coton Hill in Shrewsbury. They are constructed with stucco over brick and have a Welsh slate roof. The houses are two storeys high with a five-window front. Number 76 features a central doorway with a traceried fanlight, enclosed by an architrave with a flat entablature, and is flanked by twelve-pane sash windows. Number 75 is similarly detailed, but with a single window to the left of the door. The upper windows are fifteen-pane sashes. A moulded cornice runs along the top of the building, surmounted by a parapet behind which are segmentally-arched dormer windows. There are three brick chimney stacks at the rear. The group value is recognised for the building’s contribution to the architecture of the area.
