Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters north of Hinton Grange, is likely from the early 18th century. It features a timber frame, with part of its exterior weatherboarded and part filled with red brick, all sitting on a high rubblestone and brick plinth. The roof is covered with plain tiles. Inside, the barn is open to the roof and consists of three framed bays. There are wide threshing entrances on both the east and west sides, although the west entrance has been bricked up. On the east side, there are two flanking eaves hatches. The framing includes tall rectangular panels with long straight braces visible at the south end of the west side. The interior retains its original framing, with two king post roof trusses and two additional tie beams providing extra support in the outer bays. Hinton Grange itself is not included in this listing.
