Description
The gate and gate piers, located approximately 16 metres to the south-west of Grove Farmhouse, date from the early 18th century. They are constructed from grey Grinshill sandstone ashlar and feature square piers. Each pier has a moulded plinth, chamfered rustication, a moulded cornice, and a large globe finial. The inside of the piers has a projecting nib with a carved scrolled top. The gate itself is a late 19th-century six-bar wrought-iron design, which includes a large semi-circular brace.
