Description
The former stable block, located approximately 10 metres west of Oerley Hall, dates from around 1820 to 1830 and has been adapted for use as stores. The building is constructed of uncoursed limestone rubble with red brick detailing and features a slate roof that is hipped at the corner projections. It has a rough U-shaped plan, with a range extending further to the rear on the right side. The central block is one storey high, while the corner projections rise to two storeys. The eaves cornice is dentilled brick, and the fenestration is irregular, consisting of segmental-headed openings fitted with 20th-century casements and horned glazing bar sashes. There are segmental-headed doorways on the left and centre of the main block, along with a wide segmental vehicle arch on the right and a similar arch on the right corner projection. This building is included for its group value.
